During the craziness of the past two weeks, I have tried to find bits of time here and there to put together a flip chart for the song Scripture Power. I know there are others out there, but for some reason I find enjoyment in making my own. As I was searching for ideas on teaching the song (we only have a few weeks to learn it before our program next month), I came across this. Ingenious. So I added a few verses to my flip chart using the words from the song Heroes of the Scriptures. It works perfectly with the music and chorus from Scripture Power. It kind of reminds me of the endless verses of Follow the Prophet, but I figure the extra verses will be something fun and different to learn AFTER we're done with the SMP. For now we will just be learning 1 and 2 :-)

Post post: As I was putting my flip chart together, I decided to make a drop-down chorus page so I wouldn't have to add 5 choruses throughout the flip chart... to see how, check out the drop-down descant page from this post. This change also required a modification of my earlier flip chart to fit the chorus on a single page. You can access the modified flip chart here.
Ways to sing when you can’t sing

This totally rocks! Our kids love to sing Scripture Power and would sing it 10 X a sunday! It will be so fun to teach them these extra verses! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love the extra verses! This is one of the catchiest primary songs ever, and teaches such a true and wonderful principle.
ReplyDeleteThe link is not granting me access to your flip chart :( It says I need permission to access.
